Bernard Salt has been a columnist with The Australian newspaper for more than a decade. He was appointed Social Editor in 2012 and now writes two weekly columns as well as ad hoc opinion pieces. His columns are:
- Thursday Primespace (usually page 28), which provides business insight into demographic, social and consumer behaviour
- Weekend Australian “Life” back page, which offers an more whimsical perspective on various issues.
Bernard’s Thursday column is accompanied on The Australian website by a video clip in which he summaries the key issues and implications for business.
Bernard’s Saturday columns have been published in two books published by Melbourne University Publishing in 2013 and 2014.
In addition Bernard writes a monthly column for the Australian Property Investor magazine (avaliable through newsagents). And for more than a decade he wrote regularly for Property Australia which is a publicaton of the Property Council of Australia.
In the past Bernard has written columns for the Melbourne Herald-Sun opinion pages, for the upscale Wish magazine, for the Melbourne Magazine, as well as for other incidental publications.
